About Me

Hi! My name is Avery Coates. I am a Journalism and Media Communications student at Colorado State University. Through CSU I have worked with Rocky Mountain Student Media as a freelance photographer for the Rocky Mountain Collegian and as the Multimedia Editor and Editor-in-Chief of College Avenue Magazine. I have had many photos published and contributed to the production of various issues of the magazine. 

I am currently focused on sports photojournalism and portrait photography, looking for opportunities in the field. I am a digital and social media intern with the Colorado Eagles, the Avalanche's AHL affiliate and I have worked on many CSU Volleyball and Men's Basketball games, resulting in many published photos. I even got the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas for the Mountain West Conference Men's Basketball Tournament with CSU!
